Tyesha Durr, LPC, IMH-E®


Tyesha is the owner of Broken Crayons Counseling and Consulting, LLC located on the second floor of the Charles Henderson Health Center. There she serves children and adults with a focus on attachment, trauma, and self-awareness.


She is a licensed practicing counselor and serves in leadership with Alabama Department of Mental Health as the State Reflective Practice Coordinator.


Tyesha graduated from Troy University with a post master’s certificate in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH), one of the first in the state to receive this certification. She has also completed training in Child and Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and is among the first licensed mental health clinicians in the state to be qualified to provide this trauma-informed treatment. Tyesha has earned the F5A Endorsement for Culturally Sensitive, Relationship-focused Practice Promoting Infant Mental Health® as an Infant Family Specialist.
